A Teen MTB Development Program

Supporting the human first and athlete second

We emphasize growth mindset while enjoying the process of becoming and supporting mental health and wellbeing. Athletes will have plenty of space to co-create and provide input as the season evolves.

The Details

Yoga + Strength

Mondays | 4:00 - 5:00 PM

This is a focused hour of teaching student athletes the value of including strength, breath-work, mobility, injury, prevention, and active recovery into their sport.

As the season progresses we’ll use this time as self-care (recovery) after weekend races, and a more challenging practice as we prep for peak race season.

Group MTB Ride

Wednesdays | 4:00 - 6:30 PM

This will be a great opportunity for athletes to learn HOW to train effectively. In addition to structured interval days, they will learn the why behind it all, and how it impacts performance.

Some days this will be all on the bike, others it will be split between skills practice and classroom style discussion on race strategy, fueling + nutrition, and ways to hone mental performance.

The Pricing

We have two pricing options. Drop-ins are only available for yoga + strength classes. To be part of the group rides, a membership is required.

Drop-In Yoga + Strength

Hi, I’m Josh and thanks for stopping by my site.

My vision and goal is to share what I have learned over the past 25 years of professional endurance competition, training, and overall well-being.  I believe that training is much more than cranking out a prescribed workout via a powermeter.

At The Athletes Lab we focus on finding ways to balance, sustain, and progress on and off the bike.  Your races and training are only as strong as the ways you nurture them.  We train hard, but we recover harder.
